Rand International Schools were first established in 2006 by Dr. Tayser Al-Khunaizi whose vision was to adopt an American teaching curriculum to serve the needs of Saudi and non-Saudi students within a Saudi community that deserves an American education.       تأسست مدارس رند العالمية في عام 2006 لصاحبها الدكتور تيسير باقر الخنيزي، و هي مدارس تعتمد المناهج الأمريكية في تدريسها لخدمة احتياجات الطلاب في المجتمع السعودي الذي يرغب  في الحصول على تعليم الأمريكي، وهي تحت إشراف وزارة التربية والتعليم الأجنبي. كما إن المدرسة تسعى كسائر المدارس العالمية إلي تحقيق العديد من الأهداف منها إلمام المتعلم بأسس التفكير السليم وإدراكه لحقيقة تكامل المعرفة وتقديره للعلم والعلماء، و إدراك المتعلم للأسس التي يقوم عليها المجتمع والمشكلات المعاصرة.  كما إنها تقدم أجود مستويات التعليم ثنائي اللغة (مع التركيز المكثف على اللغة الإنجليزية بشكل أساسي) في جو يؤمن التنمية الاجتماعية والأخلاقية داخل كل طفل، وذلك بالتناغم مع مواهب كل طفل الخاصة به، ووفق القيم الإسلامية والعادات العربية.
